Edgestock Music Festival is an outdoor event that brings local bands from the Baltimore/Washington Area to Ft. Howard Park to help raise funds for youth and adult programs in Baltimore County. Edgestock was originally conceived by Kirk Baumgart, a local business man and musician, wanted to help the community but also bring in great talent into the Baltimore area communicated this concept to Dave Darr, current President of Edgemere Sparrows Point Recreation Council. The idea, that became reality in December, 2006 with the help of their family and close friends, Edgestock Music Festival became a reality.
The first annual Edgestock was held
On June 7th, 2008 Edgestock will be celebrating their third year at the park and will be featuring the following bands: The Rob Byer Band, Faded Image, Trylogy, No Pets for Noah and Whisky Train. Adult tickets are $20 in advance and children from 6-12 years of age $10 in advance Children under the age of 6 are free.
Edgestock Music Festival is a benefit concert sponsored by the Edgemere-Sparrows Point Rec Council to raise money for recreation programs. Edgemere Sparrows Point (ESP) Recreation Council is an organization of local volunteers who operate in cooperation with the Baltimore County Department of Recreation & Parks to provide recreation opportunities in the area Edgemere, Sparrows Point, Millers Island and Fort Howard areas.

The goals of our youth programs are to provide enjoyable recreational activities, to offer instruction in the skills of those activities, to encourage our young athletes at every opportunity, and to develop the ideals of good sportsmanship, team spirit and cooperation. Activities target the average skilled athlete, be fun for all, and provide a healthy recreational and social learning experience for all young people. The Edgemere Sparrows Point (ESP) Recreation Council gives sportsmanship, participation, safety, and well being of each individual participant a higher priority than winning.
